This evocative seascape is another wonderful creation by my mother. She wanted to capture the majestic presence of a mountain rising directly from the sea, paired with the quiet romance of a small boat resting near the shore. You can really feel her love for open spaces and the timeless rhythm of the ocean in every brushstroke.
My mother highlighted the scene with a brilliant contrast between the deep, powerful blues of the ocean waves and the warm, soft pastel glow of the sunset sky. By placing the dark peak of the mountain at the center and the wooden boat along the rocky shoreline in the foreground, she created a grounded yet expansive composition that brings a sense of adventurous calm to any room.
