This vibrant painting is my mother’s homage to one of Jerusalem’s most iconic historic landmarks—the Tower of David. Inspired by the enduring strength and majesty of the ancient citadel, she wanted to portray the fortress standing proudly under a bright, open sky, celebrating the living history and enduring beauty of the city.
She crafted a classic, vivid composition featuring cool sky-blue clouds dancing above the pinkish-gold Jerusalem stone walls. The grounding strip of lush green foliage in the foreground offers a fresh color contrast, while clean lines and sunny tones highlight the architectural detail of the minaret and ancient ramparts.
