My mother painted this piece to celebrate the vivid elegance of wildlife in autumn. She has always been fascinated by the vibrant presence of wild birds, and here she captured a graceful Blue Jay resting on a birch branch. I love how she brings out the bird's curious and lively spirit, making it feel as though it just landed for a quiet moment in the forest.
She chose a striking color palette, pairing the bright, electric blues and crisp black patterns of the bird's feathers against a warm, golden-ochre background.
